Berger Rust Blaster is a functional, acid-based product that removes rust, oil, and grease from metal surfaces while forming a zinc-based phosphating layer to enhance paint adhesion and overall metal durability. Unlike traditional surface-cleaning methods where sandpaper and thinner are commonly used, Rust Blaster offers a simpler, cleaner, and more efficient solution that is cost-effective and provides better surface coverage.
3-in-1 Action
- Degreasing: Dissolves and removes oils, grease, and processing fluids.
- Derusting: Chemically strips rust, mill scale, and metal oxides.
- Zinc Phosphating: Deposits a microscopic zinc phosphate protective layer to prevent flash rust and enhance topcoat bonding.
Application Areas & Usage
Suitable for steel, cast iron, galvanized metal, copper, steel alloys, metal etching, mill scale removal, and general pre-paint surface treatment.
- Clean surface free of loose rust, dirt, or heavy oil contaminants.
- Shake container well before use.
- Apply by swabbing, brushing, or dipping.
- Allow solution to remain in contact for 5 to 15 minutes to degrease and derust completely.
- Wipe surface clean to remove rust residue and dry within 30 minutes.
